I have decided to hand quilt my siggy quilt from the Bendigo Retreat 2007; on Friday with help from my friend Judy it was pinned and yesterday I loaded it on the frame and this morning I started quilting it.
Judy and I also pinned the siggy quilt from the Adelaide Retreat in 2009 which I will machine quilt over the next week or so.
I then have the siggy squares from 3 retreats (Bathurst 2010,Kiama 2011 ,Bendigo 2013) to piece and quilt and I will be up todate!!!!
This is one of the waiting rooms at my Doctor's surgery, the roof of which I can see whilst sitting at my computer.Needless to say I don't spend much time in the waiting room as I stay at home until the last minute.
This postcard is where I attended my first Scquilters' retreat in 2001
I don't buy that much any more but I do love free delivery
23/05/14 Black and White
There was no sunrise in Bathurst this morning just fog and drizzle
I took this photo from my backyard and on the other side of the carpark, that large brick building is the Bathurst Regional Library and Art Gallery
Not many dogs have their own bag but Macy has, she is now well over 13 years old and has arthritis which is why she sits in that funny position.Other than that she is quite healthy and occasionally plays with Murphy and Millie .
These colours were my mother's favourites , I made this quilt for her about 1996 from a pattern Jenny Bowker had in Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine
10/05/14 In the garden
The roses are almost finished as the frosts set in, this one is Charles de Gaulle
I love this photo of Mum and I taken in 1949 (?) at Bradley's Head
This is in the Slow Cooker ready to turn on , one of those toss everything in kind of recipes, the photo doesn't do it justice because there are red chillies and red capsicums in it as well as vegetables and chicken.
13/05/14 I spy
This is an I spy quilt I have made for the grandson of my good friend Sherree
With this beautiful weather my clothes line is empty which means I have ironing to do! Oh well tomorrow is another day.
15/05/14 From where I walk
My ankle has been very troublesome lately and I need to strengthen both of them but I am not game to walk without holding on to something as I have had a couple of falls lately. So off I go every morning with my doggy stroller loaded with Murphy and Millie.
One of my many quilt top awaiting the pinning/quilting process
This is a workman on a neighbour's roof this morning , he spent about 10 minutes checking his mobile phone and I conjured up the image of him being on Facebook. No harness so no OH&S and they have been working up there for a week now
