25/04/14   Photo a Day   Remember

 James Oswald Doyle   b.25/06/1896   d.  24/03/1960

This is my Maternal grandfather who was wounded 11/10/1917 at Flanders in Belgium.
Although we as a family were lucky that he survived this trauma it shortened his life and he died before getting to know most of his 21 grandchildren.

A weekend with some family and friends

At the weekend Tom came to Bathurst with one of his American friends,Jayne and I let the menfolk inspect Mount Panorama and the Motor Museum and then we travelled out to the O'Connell Pub for lunch.

On Sunday we drove to the Blue Mountains to show Lee the beautiful scenery  just a stone's throw from Sydney.

We had a good day until we reached Katoomba when the fog and the rain settled in, this was however a good omen as a yummy lunch at the Paragon Cafe was enjoyed by all.
