My Grandmother on the right with a marlin that she caught , I remember when she won the Australian Championship and was given the trophy by the previous winner Dolly Dyer.
Nanny used to come down to Sydney and we used to drop her at their home and then pick her up after a cocktail party or dinner.

Naughty Molly

I made this quilt in 1998 at a Michelle Marvig Workshop in Orange, I hand quilted it when I was on three months sick leave following surgery. When Macy was a puppy she chewed the edges so I made the border a bit smaller and rebound it , TWICE!
This morning I had to drop a form up to the local Hospital for admission before the end of the year and when I arrived home 30 minutes later Molly had chewed a hole right through the three layers.

10/07/2019  Photo a Day  My fave hobby

Patchwork and quilting of course, I have started another quilt using some fabrics I have had for 20/30 years. This will keep me going until my eyesight improves after my cataract surgery next month. Then I can work on two new projects I have in the works..

I love keeping in touch with my cousins even ones like Phillipa (centre) whom I hadn't seen for many years, this photo with Jayne and myself was taken in front of her Stall at the Mindle Beach Night Markets in Darwin last June.
There were 22 Grandchildren on the Doyle  (Mum's) side of the family and in the last few years I have caught up with most of them in all corners of this land.

8/07/2019   Photo a Day  A highlight of my day

On Saturday Di,Lee and myself went on a Roadtrip after leaving home at 6.30 AM we arrived in Cootamundra to find the Patchwork Shop only opens on a Saturday with prior notice, just a shame their web site didn't reflect this !We then stopped in Young first the Patchwork Shop then the Base Store and the Bakery then back on the road to Grenfell this time.

There is a Gift Shop in Grenfell situated in an old Pub building so there were rooms and rooms of gift and Christmas stuff, spent time and money here as well, lunch at the local take away which was OK and then the Highlight of the day the new Silo Art which was superb.
