29/04/2020   Photo a Day  I'm Grateful for....

my computer and the internet which gives me the opportunity to remember happier parts of my childhood, the above photo is the kitchen of a $3m unit in Neutral Bay but until I was 12 it was the bedroom I shared with my brother and sister. It certainly has changed a lot but the sandstone walls are still there.
The internet also helps me stay in touch with family and friends all over Australia and New Zealand as well as giving me many ideas for making yet another quilt.

Isolation work

This quilt I stripped pieced and then embroidered across the seams before cutting them up and joining them in the rail fence pattern.

This quilt I started a couple of weeks ago but it is now a completed quilt top, a design by Pam and Nikki Lintott in the UK I enjoyed the process of this design. I have another one of these in a totally different colourway half completed.

I made these two pillowcases for my Gandkids over the weekend and posted them on Sunday.Luke is obsessed with dinosaurs and I had thew owl fabric so used it for Zoe.They should receive their parcel today according to Australia Post tracking.

April Photo A Day 2020 | A month of gratitude

This the challenge for  April  so my thinking cap is on because right now there's not much to be thankful for, the social isolation is hard especially when my eyesight is making reading and hand sewing even harder.I had Christmas alone because of the bushfires and now I will have my birthday alone because of the Virus.I haven't seen my family since early December and I miss them and now I can't even have a friend come over for a while but anyway I'll stop my self pity and start the challenge.

My sister Louise who lives in Brisbane as she is keeping in touch much more than she used to, I was to spend 10 days with her later this month but that has been called off now.
