31/08/2021  Photo a Day  Month of Gratitude

Today I am grateful it's a nice sunny day and the last day of winter. I am also grateful I don't have to think about being grateful for anything because it's been quite a struggle with the cold weather ,heating not working properly and the lockdown. Bathurst has a growing number of positive COVID cases now which means I am barely leaving the house and I am over it all (as is everyone else).

Because today is daffodil day a photo of some daffodils , I don't have any growing at  present because when Molly was younger her hobby was digging up bulbs in the garden, next year I will replace some I hope.

Today I am grateful for click and collect and internet shopping also, how would we manage in lockdown otherwise.

A Whinge

I know I shouldn't complain because we are not in lockdown but I'm going to anyway, this is a cold wet winter and we are lucky to see the sun once a week  and now there's snow forecast for the district again tomorrow but that's the least of my problems even though I hate the cold.

My central heating is playing up and DS Tim's friend comes and fixes it but he texts to say he's coming and never turns up ,I do have a warm toasty warm gas heater in the lounge room but it means the sewing room is freezing as it's the other end of the house.

The a couple of week ago my oven decided to die,not worth fixing according to the fellow who came to look at it.Then last week my computer decided to follow suit and this morning the computer fellow rang to say the hard drive is dead, he couldn't even download anything off it.

I have decided to sell some of my numerous quilt tops on line to raise some moneybut I can't do that until I get the computer back hopefully by the weekend.

And I haven't seen my family for so long and I'm not likely to in the near future. My GD Zoe will be 2 on Saturday and I have only seen her once since December 2019 so she doesn't know me at all.

End of self pity rant and rave ,I given myself an uppercut and will try and stay focused on sewing ,knitting and reading.
