24/05/2015   Photo a Day Rule of thirds

This Flagstaff has been erected over the same spot the Governor Macquarie erected the Union Jack on the 7th May 1815..It was one of the major features of Bathurst Bicentennial celebrations and if ever you are in Bathurst it is worth going to the River Peace Park to see.
As you can see there was not even a whiff of a breeze yesterday but it was gloriously sunny after all the cold days we have had recently.

15/05/2015   Photo a Day   I found this

All my ancestors have gone to their grave believing Aunty Millie had lost this paternity case until I found it on the Internet!!!
And most of the people in my generation don't know or remember Uncle Clarrie , Clarence James the child of this union!!!As a child I knew him well and I also listened to stories particularly from Mum and Uncle George neither of which put him in good light!

Who could resist these eyes? They belong to Murphy who is about 10 years old a rescued Cross Maltese I have had since 2007. He is my shadow and guards me with his life until my daughter comes home for a night or two and then he switches allegiance to her automatically.

Bathurst Bicentenial May 2015

As part of the celebrations last night they had illuminations and a lantern parade , 100 years ago last night they had a lantern parade to celebrate Bathurst centenary and they recreated it last night.
The night was cool and crisp but there was a very large crowd and the Court House did look lovely ,the lights will continue until 17th May (if you get home in time Julie!).

Bathurst is celebrating it's Bicentennial this week and this exhibition is just one of many.

New project underway

I received a parcel this week from Tom and Jayne who had been shopping at the Quilt Shop in Celeste Tx . It contained some fabric as instructed by me to make a quilt for Lisi and Ethan and I have commenced work after a day or two procrastinating

The quilt is a Zig Zag design with the stripped bright colours and plain black, I hope they like it when it's finished.
