This is a corn fritter stack I had at a Cafe in Orange a couple of months ago when Di and I went on a fabric search , it was a successful trip all round. We want to go back and have the same meal again it was so yummy.
When I was in the US I went to plenty of Quilt Shops but this one was the biggest and possibly the best, if I won the lottery I would now like to go to Hamilton Missouri to visit Missouri Star which has about ten Quilt Shops in the small town.
Aunts , on the right and left of this photo are two of my Great Aunts - the lady in the middle being their cousin Evelyn who I always called Aunt anyway.ON the right is Aunty Beattie (Beatrice) and on the right is Aunty Millie a right old Tarter if ever there was one!
I belong to Southern Cross Quilters an online quilting group of Aussies and Kiwis and every year they hold a Retreat in a different place e.g. this year it was in Mildura and next year it will be in New Zealand. At these retreats they swap signatures squares and eventually they are made into quilts.I haven't been to a retreat since Bendigo in 2012 but I still had three piles of siggy to make into a quilt , which is a memory not just of the retreats but also the friends you make.
My three piles of squares waiting to be made into something nice.
Above is the Kiama quilt and to the left is the Bathurst Retreat quilt.
Above is the front of the Bendigo quilt and on the left the back of it.
