One block wonder
I only recently discovered this technique and I have completed one top and have enough fabric for another one.
This is the Panel I bought (seven of ) and it's called Lipstick Cowgirl
And after lots of pinning cutting into strips and then triangles then pinning into strips again to be sewn into hexagons , not hard but fiddly.

My Paternal Grandmother Kathleen born in England migrated with her family to New Zealand when she was 17 years old married her Australian husband and they came back to Australia in 1931. After my Grandfather died she led a nomadic sort of life between Melbourne and New Zealand then Brisbane and eventually she resettled in Sydney until died died in Turramurra in 1986.
She was an author and poet but I only have one of her poems as they were all thrown out years ago.

My maternal Grandfather James Oswald Doyle , injured at Flanders in WW1 then went back to farming in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area not far from where he grew up. In 1936 he flew to the USA to study rice growing methods. He was very civic minded and served on the Rice Marketing Board for many years and was a Councillor in the local Shire as well as being active in the Farmers and Settlers Association in Griffith but also on the State level.
He died quite young (64) and only a few of we older cousins remember him, I was 12 when he died and I'm the 4th eldest Grandchild of 24.
